Where it all started.
Cornerstone Church began holding services in 1990 in a hamburger restaurant in Mandeville, Louisiana. Cornerstone was founded by veteran church planter Rev. Tony D. Shreffler and his friend Rev. Ralph Boutte. Tony pastored Cornerstone until his departure in December 1999.
In August 2000, Rev. Doug Gilford became pastor of Cornerstone. He was only 26. After serving 8 years in the United States Army, feeling called to pastor, came to his home church to lead it. He is still with us today.

Our work in Haiti.
Since 2011, Cornerstone has had the amazing opportunity to do missions work in Haiti. Together with Matthew 25 international, we have built 6 churches, drilled 9 water wells, fed thousands of people and led hundreds to Christ. Currently, Cornerstone operates and funds a children's home in Port au Prince named "Little Lambs Children's home"
Where we are headed...
Today Cornerstone is a thriving church on the Northshore.
Many people have come to find Christ and the purpose of life that Jesus gives us. Our goal is simple...Let God have His way in us. We are Real people...with Real issues, loving on a Real God.
